Charca Natural Charco del Palo
On the eastern coast of Lanzarote, within the naturist settlement of Charco del Palo in the municipality of Teguise, you'll find this public-access natural pool. It's an artificial formation carved into volcanic rock beside the ocean, designed for bathing in an area where the Atlantic often surges with force.
The surrounding landscape is arid, dominated by dark lava fields and bare volcanic terrain with little vegetation. The pool fills with seawater from the waves and allows you to enjoy the ocean with less current than in the open coastal areas nearby. Charco del Palo has maintained a naturist tradition for decades, and the pool reflects that founding philosophy of the place.
Access is straightforward from Calle Montaña Redonda, inside this small coastal development in the island's northeast. There are no facilities or auxiliary services: the infrastructure is minimal and the character of the site informal.
