02Purpose of the site

Descubre Canarias is a travel guide to the Canary Islands: it brings together places, beaches, trails, events and experiences, and offers businesses tools such as digital menus.

The information is for guidance only. Opening hours, prices, access or conditions may change without us knowing in time, so we recommend confirming them with the business or organiser before you go.

03Conditions of use

Browsing the site makes you a user and means you accept this legal notice. Accounts, reviews and services for businesses are also governed by the Terms of use.

You agree to use the site lawfully, without harming its operation or the rights of others, and without extracting its content in bulk or by automated means.

04Affiliate links

Some links, such as the “Check availability” button on experiences, take you to Viator (part of Tripadvisor). If you book through them we earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. We say so next to every experience so you know before you click.

Booking, payment and cancellation are handled by Viator under its own terms. Descubre Canarias is not a travel agency and is not a party to that contract.

05Intellectual and industrial property

The design, original texts, code and the Descubre Canarias brand belong to the owner. Reproducing, distributing or publicly communicating them, in whole or in part, requires express permission.

Some content belongs to third parties and is shown with their permission or under licence: photos and descriptions of experiences (Viator), map data (Mapbox and OpenStreetMap contributors) or photos provided by businesses and users. Their rights remain with their authors.

If you believe any content infringes your rights, write to us and we will review it promptly.

06Liability

We work to keep the information accurate and up to date, but we cannot guarantee it is error-free or that the site will always be available. Within the limits of the law, we are not liable for damage arising from the published information, service interruptions or the content of third-party sites we link to.

If you spot something wrong, let us know: it helps us improve the guide for everyone.

07Data protection and cookies

How we handle your personal data is explained in the Privacy policy, and which cookies we use and how to manage them in the Cookie policy.

08Governing law

This legal notice is governed by Spanish law. Any dispute will be submitted to the courts that have jurisdiction under the law; if you are a consumer, to the courts of your place of residence.
