Caleta González Beach
Caleta González is a 140-metre-long beach located in the municipality of Haría, in the far north of Lanzarote. Made up of fine white sand and volcanic pebbles, it is surrounded by black volcanic rock that contrasts with the deep blue ocean. To reach the shore, you'll walk a short stretch over volcanic stone, so it's advisable to wear sturdy footwear.
On this natural beach you'll find small stone circles built among the rocks, which serve as shelter from the wind and a place to leave your belongings. The landscape is marked by vegetation growing in the surroundings, and if you walk along the shore between the stones, you can see the remains of a shipwreck. Due to the tides, it's wise to check their state before visiting to avoid areas with seaweed and plan your route carefully.
There are two parking areas on the opposite side of the sea, near the road to Orzola. Avoid parking on the road itself so as not to obstruct cyclists. Caleta González retains its wild character and has no facilities or lifeguard service.
