Pescante de Agulo
The Pescante de Agulo is a historic loading structure on the northern coast of La Gomera, accessed from the town of Agulo via a steep trail. This pescante was used to load and unload goods when maritime transport was the main connection for the municipality.
The path descends through terraced fields and vegetation to reach the stone platform by the sea, where remains of the old mechanism are still preserved. From here you have wide views of the basalt coastline and, on clear days, the profile of Teide to the north. The area allows swimming, though you should assess sea conditions and note the lack of facilities along the route.
The walk combines historical and scenic interest, and you should consider the effort required for the uphill return and the possibility of rockfalls along the path.
