Restaurante Balcón de Zamora is located on the GC-21 road, at the entrance to Teror, a mountain municipality known for its basilica and historic centre. From this point on the road you can see the Teror valley and part of Gran Canaria's highland landscape.

The building occupies an elevated position above the main road, which explains its name. The GC-21 connects the northern part of the island with the mountainous interior and is one of the usual routes towards central Gran Canaria.

Teror preserves traditional Canarian architecture with wooden balconies and cobbled streets. The municipality is surrounded by laurel forest areas and terraced crops, typical of the island's northern slope.
