El Charcón

BeachesOutdoors / Nature

Playa del Charcón is a small sandy cove located in the municipality of Haría, in the north of Lanzarote. It's a natural spot with no facilities or services, surrounded by volcanic rocks that form natural pools depending on the tide. Access is straightforward and it's just a few kilometres from the centre of Haría.

The water here is crystal clear, making it easy to observe the seabed. When the sea is calm, you can snorkel beyond the rocks and explore the underwater life peacefully. This beach attracts visitors during high season, especially those looking for a wilder setting away from the busier beaches on the island.

You won't find bars, showers or sunbed hire. It's advisable to bring water, sun protection and everything you need for a few hours in a natural environment without amenities.
