Playa Zapata
Playa de Zápata is located in the Anaga Massif, in the northeastern tip of Tenerife. This small stretch of coast belongs to the municipality of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and lies just before the well-known Playa de Antequera, within a natural setting of high landscape value marked by cliffs and native vegetation of the rural park.
It is a beach of dark sand and pebbles, typical of the Anaga coastline, where access usually requires a walk from the road or from nearby villages such as Igueste de San Andrés. The landscape surrounding the beach is dominated by steep slopes and volcanic geological formations, giving it a rugged and undeveloped appearance.
The remote location and lack of tourist facilities make Zápata a quiet spot, mainly visited by those seeking less crowded beaches in the north of the island. The Anaga area also offers hiking trails that allow you to explore the coast and the mountainous interior of this protected zone of Tenerife.
