Playa Puerto Rico

Outdoors / NatureBeaches

Playa Puerto Rico is a small, quiet cove located in the municipality of Pájara, on the eastern coast of Fuerteventura. Its somewhat secluded position away from the main tourist hubs helps preserve a calmer setting, where the volcanic landscape meets the Atlantic along a stretch of natural coastline.

The beach features light-coloured sand and relatively sheltered waters, partly protected by the rocky formations of the shoreline. Here you will find a simple scene without major infrastructure, inviting you to swim and rest within the arid landscape typical of the island's south. Access is via the FV-2 road, near La Lajita.

It suits those seeking to avoid crowded beaches and prefer a natural environment with fewer facilities but a greater sense of remoteness. The volcanic terrain surrounds the area and provides the usual contrast between the dry land and the ocean blue that defines much of Fuerteventura's coastline.
