Playa el Pris, Piscina Natural
On the coast of Tacoronte you'll find Playa el Pris, a small fishing hamlet with direct access to a natural pool carved into volcanic rock that takes advantage of the geology of Tenerife's northern shore. The sea flows freely between basaltic formations, creating a sheltered bathing area protected from the open swell that defines this side of the island.
The setting retains the traditional character of Canarian coastal villages: low houses, artisanal fishing boats, and a narrow seafront promenade. The access road winds down from the upper part of Tacoronte to sea level, where the rocky terrain opens into this cove of black stone and transparent waters.
The combination of natural pool and fishing village context makes El Pris a representative corner of Tenerife's northern coast, away from the busier tourist areas in the south of the island.
