Playa del Carrizal is located in the municipality of Buenavista del Norte, in the northwest of Tenerife, nestled at the mouth of a ravine that descends to the sea. It is a beach with difficult land access, set in a minimally developed natural environment protected for environmental reasons.

The hike down through the ravine requires orientation skills, experience on technical trails, and considerable effort, covering terrain with challenging sections and hazardous areas. For this reason, the most practical way to reach it is by sea, provided weather and sea conditions are favorable. There are no facilities or developed access routes, which reinforces its isolated character and preserves its nearly untouched coastal landscape.
