Playa El Burro

BeachesOutdoors / Nature

Playa del Burro is a small black sand beach located on the eastern coast of Tenerife, near Santa Cruz de Tenerife. It sits next to Playa Cueva del Agua, in a coastal area with difficult access that you can only reach on foot via a trail from the TF-121 road. This geographical feature explains its low visitor numbers and secluded atmosphere.

The landscape combines the volcanic coastline with the open ocean, a typical environment of the island's north and east. You won't find services or facilities in this area: it's a natural and isolated stretch of coast. Some access points from the road are closed with barriers, so it's worth checking the exact starting point of the trail before planning your visit.
