Playa de San Juan

BeachesOutdoors / Nature

Playa de San Juan is a small golden sand cove located in the north of Lanzarote, within the municipality of Teguise. It sits in an undeveloped coastal area, away from the island's main tourist hubs, giving it a quiet and secluded character.

Access involves crossing a dirt track and descending a footpath along the cliff edge, so you'll find a less crowded beach than others in the area. The sand is fine and light-toned, sheltered by volcanic rock formations that frame the bay.

The waves here are usually moderate, though they can pick up depending on Atlantic Ocean conditions. There are no facilities or services on the beach, so if you visit, bring everything you need. It's a natural spot, untouched by urban development, shaped only by the island's geography.
