Lima Beach
Playa Lima stretches along 900 metres of coastline in the municipality of Tías, with white sand and a volcanic landscape typical of Lanzarote. This semi-urban beach, approximately 35 metres wide, combines proximity to residential areas with a natural setting marked by volcanic rocks that emerge in several sections along the shore.
A coastal promenade parallel to the beach connects different access points and offers a quiet walk with ocean views. The vegetation behind the sand strip helps protect the environment and provides some natural shade. From this stretch of coast you can watch aircraft on their approach to Lanzarote Airport, flying low overhead due to the proximity of the runway.
The shoreline shows variable wave conditions depending on ocean patterns, and volcanic rocks require care when moving through certain areas near the water. The beach has several access points along the promenade, making it easy to connect with the rest of the Matagorda coast.
