Playa de la Guancha
Playa de la Guancha is an isolated beach about 500 metres long, located south of San Sebastián de La Gomera. You can reach it on foot from the capital on a route that follows the seafront promenade and continues along a trail for approximately an hour and a half—a walk often completed by hikers finishing the circular GR-132 route.
The setting features dark sand and gravel, typical of volcanic Canary Island beaches, with an average width of around 70 metres and low occupancy. As a wild beach with no services or nearby road access, it is frequented mainly by those seeking tranquillity and by naturism practitioners.
Bear in mind that this is a natural space without facilities: you won't find showers, beach bars or bins. The state of conservation can vary, and it's advisable to bring water and suitable footwear for the walk.
