Playa de Bajamar

BeachesOutdoors / Nature

Playa de Bajamar is located in Breña Alta, six hundred metres south of Santa Cruz de La Palma, with direct access from the LP-2 regional road (Avenida de Bajamar). It is a semi-urban beach with black volcanic sand, protected by a breakwater, measuring around 700 metres long and 43 metres wide.

Along the beach you'll find a promenade with stairs and ramps descending from a viewing terrace to the shore. The area has restaurants and cocktail bars nearby. During the summer, the beach hosts scheduled sports activities, and it's common to see people playing beach volleyball and football.

Due to its proximity to the island's capital and its amenities, it is considered the second most visited beach by bathers on the island during peak season.
