Playa de Barranco Hondo is located in the municipality of Santa Úrsula, on the north coast of Tenerife. It is a natural rocky shore reached by a footpath from the La Victoria area, following a route between the ravine and the sea. The walk to the beach is part of the experience, offering open views over Tenerife's northern coastline.

This is not a beach set up for swimming: the shore is covered in pebbles and the sea often has strong waves. Here you will find a coastal landscape shaped by time, with old caves carved into the rock that show traces of past occupation. The access path has some sections with landslide debris, passable with care.

The place retains its rugged, somewhat remote character. From the beach you have wide views of the north coast, a panorama that shifts with the light and the state of the Atlantic Ocean on this exposed side of Tenerife.
