Pico de La Nieve
★ 4.8 (253 reviews)
Pico de La Nieve is one of those natural gems in La Palma that every hiking enthusiast must conquer at least once. Standing at 2,239 meters high in the heart of the Caldera de Taburiente, this peak offers a unique experience where you literally walk above the clouds. The route starts from kilometer 24 of the LP-4 road, very close to the famous Roque de los Muchachos Observatory, and although it takes about two and a half hours round trip, the panoramic views reward every step.
What makes this trail special is its privileged location: on clear days you can spot Tenerife with Mount Teide, La Gomera, and a breathtaking view over the entire Caldera. The trails are well-marked and the continuous ups and downs add excitement to the experience. You might encounter fog at the summit, but even then the route is worthwhile for its fairytale landscapes. Open 24 hours, it's perfect whether you want to catch the sunrise or enjoy the Palmeran sunset from the heights.
