Mirador del Río
★ 4.5 (12693 reviews)
The Mirador del Río is one of César Manrique's architectural masterpieces and one of the most spectacular viewpoints in Lanzarote. Perched 400 meters above sea level on the Risco de Famara cliffs, this stunning lookout offers breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean and, most notably, La Graciosa island, which appears to float in turquoise waters just across the strait. The way Manrique integrated the building into the cliff face is pure genius: from the outside it's barely visible, but inside you'll find a luminous space filled with artistic details that transform your visit into a truly unique experience.
The center features a café with privileged views where you can enjoy refreshments while taking in the landscape, plus restrooms and rest areas. Although there's an entrance fee, most visitors agree it's absolutely worth it for the quality of the facilities and the panoramic views on offer. It's a must-visit stop to understand the artistic vision and respect for nature that define Lanzarote.
