Mirador de Montaña Alta

Outdoors / NatureViewpoints

The Mirador de Montaña Alta stands in Santa María de Guía de Gran Canaria and offers a 360-degree panoramic view over the northern part of the island. To reach the summit you'll need to tackle a steep climb that ends with a staircase leading to the highest point.

From the top you can see the local landscape, the northern coastline and, on clear days, the silhouette of Mount Teide standing out on the horizon. The site includes information panels to help you identify the geographical features in view, though the upkeep of the path and signage depends on the current state of maintenance.

The route combines trail and stairs, and vegetation may encroach on parts of the path depending on the season. It's a geographical observation point that rewards the climb with broad views of Gran Canaria's northern area.
