Llano de Las Brujas is one of those natural corners of La Palma that truly takes your breath away. Located in the heart of the volcanic zone, this landscape offers a spectacular contrast: you drive up through lush Canarian pine forests and suddenly find yourself in a lunar landscape of black volcanic ash that seems from another world. The views over the Aridane Valley are simply stunning, with Montaña Quemada standing guard in the foreground.

What fascinates visitors most is the magical effect of the fog that envelops the area, justifying its mysterious name of Llano de Las Brujas (Witches' Plain). It's a perfect spot for hiking enthusiasts, with trails climbing from El Paso with considerable elevation gain that are worth every step. Additionally, it features an astronomical viewpoint that takes advantage of the island's clear skies for stargazing. The environment is very well preserved with regulated access, ensuring this natural gem remains intact for future generations.
