Las Coloradas

BeachesOutdoors / Nature

Playa de Las Coloradas stretches along the southern coast of Fuerteventura, next to the port of Morro Jable in the municipality of Pájara. About 230 metres long and 20 metres wide on average, this beach of sand and pebbles lies surrounded by steep cliffs and caves that shape the shoreline. You reach it via a route through the natural surroundings, away from built-up areas.

The waves are usually moderate and occupancy low, which reinforces the sense of remoteness. From the shore you can see the outline of Morro Jable in the distance, particularly clear at sunrise. Water temperature remains mild for much of the year. Playa de Las Coloradas is also a recognised naturist spot, set within the coastal landscape of the island's south.
