La Bajita

La Bajita

La Bajita is a semi-urban beach located in Villa de Mazo, on the eastern coast of La Palma. With a length of 50 metres and a width of just 10 metres, this small, sheltered cove is composed of rock and gravel, alternating swimming areas with volcanic formations ideal for underwater observation.

Its proximity to La Palma airport makes it an accessible spot for those arriving on the island, and parking is available nearby. Wave conditions are generally moderate, though they can vary depending on the sea state. Here you'll find a quiet atmosphere, free from crowds, which helps maintain a peaceful setting even on sunny days.

Below the surface, the rocky formations attract snorkellers and divers. The seabed offers sightings of rays, seahorses and other marine species typical of the area. The coastal topography creates nooks and small bays that add interest to La Bajita's natural surroundings.
