Near Teguise, an abandoned volcanic quarry has become an open-air geological marvel that captivates hikers and nature enthusiasts. The Ciudad Estratificada Los Roferos reveals, through its walls carved by extraction, the different layers and volcanic phases that have shaped Lanzarote over millennia.

The circular trail invites you to descend between rocky levels where stratification lines draw a temporal map of past eruptions. Each stratum tells a different story: reddish, grey and ochre tones succeed one another, displaying the island's geological evolution.
