The complete name of this square is " " Plaza of the Prince of Asturias " ", but it is popularly known as Plaza del Principe. It is in the historical center of the city, and is one of the most emblematic square. It was constructed in 1.871, it was the garden of the Franciscans convent, in front of the current Museum of Fine arts and the Chapel of the Venerable Third Order. It is in an area raised with regard to the level of the street, to accede to the square it is necessary to raise for it a perron flanked by two allegoric sculptures of spring and summer. Actually, more than a square it is a garden, since there is multiple and varied vegetation. Three are the most prominent elements of this square: moderate you of music, of 1.929 (still operates the municipal band of music), the ornamental fountain of iron of 1.871, and a modern sculpture of bronze representing several seated men attending to explanations.
