Monumento Al Padre Anchieta

It is the big bronze statue which represents the Saint Joseph of Anchieta. It is situated on the traffic circle which bears its name on the Highway of the North of Tenerife, in the entrance of the city center of La Laguna by Avenidad Trinidad. On this statue he seems to be represented in his youthness, shoes removed, with big feet which represent his big step, as well as generous hands. The statue symbolizes the walking of the blissful whereas it sends a last look to the city which saw him being born.
