Casa Natal - Padre Anchieta

Another of the houses that are worth seeing in the historical center of La Laguna, is located on the Plaza del Adelantado and was recently renovated. It has two floors and a neo-classical facade that promotes the multiple viewpoints and windows. In this house lived famous people, such as the bishop and founder of the city of St. Paul, Father José de Anchieta, the poet Manuel Verdugo or notary Juan de Anchieta. It now houses the offices of the Episcopate of La Laguna: Office of the Bishop, General Vicariate and Justice, economic offices and library of the diocese. It was declared a Cultural Monument and listed as in 1986.
