The Castle of San Andrés is a old Military strength situated near the urban core of San Andrés, between the confluence of the ravines of the Enclosure and the Big gardens and the seaside. This situation provoked that it was a direct victim of the overflowing of the ravine in an the case of big pouring rains. This circular tower was a part of a set of fortifications in charge of the defense of the island of Tenerife, and it enjoys historic attraction by its relation with the attack of English admiral Horace Nelson to Santa Cruz of Tenerife in 1797.
